CrossRoads has regular follow-up meetings with the groups that have done the CrossRoads curriculum training.
Here are a few testimonies from the last follow-up meeting held in July:
The teachers shared how they have been continuing to teach CrossRoads as part of the Grade 8 LO curriculum. For the rest of the school, there is a scheduled “value lesson” every 10 days. Two of the students testified to how much the CrossRoads lessons mean to them!
Hector Peterson High
The teachers plus volunteer team teachers shared how their “intervention” of a group of high risk boys paid dividends and prevented them from being expelled. The changes in them were even noticed by their parents at home!
The team of teachers who work as volunteers on a Friday afternoon has been seeing the early fruits of starting to teach the CrossRoads programme.
De Novo Rehab Centre
The faithful group of volunteers continues to see lives change before them. People who come there without hope find new purpose and a better way of making choices going forward.
The Salvation Army Rehab Centre
One of the volunteers from the De Novo team has now also started with CrossRoads at The Salvation Army Centre.
