The project mobilizes current post-matric students to work with local campuses to serve the community by launching movements of evangelism and discipleship through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ – South Africa (CCCSA).   In return for hours participated in the project, the students receives leadership development and financial incentives.

Leadership Development:

  • Developed to clearly share the Gospel one-on-one and group settings
  • Taught how to lead students in a mentoring and discipleship relationship
  • Trained to apply Scripture t the needs of students
  • Learn to organize, coordinate, and mobilize weekly meetings and quarterly retreats/conferences
  • To see delegated responsibilities through to completion
  • To recruit and develop other university leaders
  • Relating to adult community (i.e. parents, lecturers, administrators and coaches)

Financial Incentives:

  • 1st year involved will receive R3600
  • Funds can increase with each year of involvement (2nd year: R4800, 3rd year: R6000, 4th year: R7200)

Purpose of position:

To develop students to effectively launch, build and multiply student-led movements of evangelism and discipleship within your scope


  • Enrolled in a South African university, college or tertiary institution.
  • A South African bank account


  1. A vital and growing relationship with Christ
  2. Demonstrates a heart for students and a teachable spirit
  3. Ability to initiate and maintain relationships with students and adults
  4. Agreement with CCCSA Statement of Faith and ministry distinctive
  5. A self-starter in pursuing ministry responsibilities and goals

On-going responsibilities:

  • Maintain growing personal walk with God from time in prayer and God’s Word
  • Commitment to walking in the Spirit and in fellowship with other believers
  • Ministry development through training and healthy team relationships
  • Communicate with CCCSA staff coach weekly

Process for Acceptance:

  • Applications due by October 25
  • Any qualified students turned down can be non-paid volunteers
  • Students accepted start with training retreat mid-January
